BTS on Rolling Stones
South Korean boy band BTS has been blowing up in the US since 2017. With comparison to other major boy bands, this magazine spread was designed using Rolling Stone's 1976 cover of The Beatle's as inspiration.
BTS featured on the Rolling Stones
BTS’ appearance and performance on the Stephen Colbert Show was inspired by the first boy band to appear at the Ed Sullivan Theater, The Beatles. Using the same concept, I created a magazine cover and spread for BTS for the Rolling Stone using an article from the magazine itself, and designs from them when they wrote about the Beatles.
I used magazine scans from the New York Public Library archive in order to find articles to recreate, with a modern twist.
